Mellomrom
Mellomrom is a series about transitions, inspired by spring in the mountains and the slow moment when winter begins to let go.
The series began as a way to explore my own gradual return after a period of illness and exhaustion. Along the way, I became more aware of how familiar this process can be for anyone who has stayed in a high tempo for a little too long.
Mellomrom is therefore not only about spring. It is about the time between what was and what is on its way. About what slowly loosens, and about making space for what comes after.
In the mountains, snow, soil and new life meet in an uneven shift. Nothing happens all at once. Something holds back, while something else is already emerging.
The series unfolds in several phases.
Between what gathers and what begins to loosen.
The first phase is the space before movement. Everything draws inward and builds beneath the surface. The layers are dense and close to the body, like soil that has not yet let go. Here lie the stillness and the depth, and a beginning that has only just started to loosen.
